Doctors false reports

How , or to whom, do I complain about a doctor who has made many false statements in his report about my appointment with him. I managed to get a copy of his report and much of it is ficticious. I contacted the facility and presented what I thought was pretty stong verbal contradictions to the reports but they say my word against his and they are going with him. Meanwhile I have been billed for several procedures that were not done.

Re: Doctors false reports

If they are things that required lab or path work, then you should ask for that paperwork. What kinds of "procedures" are you talking about?

Re: Doctors false reports

He claims in his report that he attempted to aspirate fluid from my ankle to test for gout, when in fact he did not attempt this and stated at the time that he didn't think there was enough swelling to get a good sample. He also states he examined my back and found it to be normal, full mobility, when in fact my back is full of arthritis, has lateral stenosis, foraminal stenosis and spondlylitheses. He claims to have done all of this which adds about $185.00 to my bill. I have spoken to the nurse laison on this and have been told it his word against mine and they believe him.

Re: Doctors false reports

Did you report this to your insurance company? I have a friend who's doctor billed him for something that wasn't done and he reported it to his insurance and they wouldn't pay until the dispute was resolved. The doctors office then claimed it was for a proceedure that was done 3 years ago that they forgot to charge for. Insurance checked their records and they DID pay for that proceedure 3 years ago and has flagged that doctor in their files. It is doctors like that, that drive up our insurance costs!

Re: Doctors false reports

Have you reported this to the Administrator above the doctor?

i don't think i would be returning to this doctor ever again. I would Fire him and move on to a good honest reputable physician.

This is terrible for this doctor to make false reports. What is this world coming to, my gosh terrible.

Wish you well
