How do I look younger - Looking old making my life hell

Hello!

I am 24 years old and currently I am feeling really really low in self esteem and confidence, because frankly I look much older than I really I am. I would say at least I look 10 years older. No one I have ever spoken to apart from friends and family believe that I am 24, they give me ages ranging from 30 to 46!

Granted I am overweight which I am currently working on rectifying, however I would like to try and get some advice on how to look younger. I am going bald and so I shave my hair off what else can I do??

Many thanks

B

I have to disagree to some extent. If you loose to much weight as you age it can make you look older. Fat fills the wrinkles depending on age I guess.

Get happy, if you are happy, like my brother, who I really admire, he has this great attitude, like "It's all good, no worries"....of course he doesn't have any kids, but we both take care of my dad who has alzheimers, and he still has this great outlook. HE looks so young!! he's 45 and looks no older than 35!! I am 44, but I would say i look 40 cuz I'm short, and small. And I keep my hair a little longer. Any chance you can get a cool looking wig? I know they sell beautiful Authentic wigs. Get god in your life, it's amazing how that makes you feel. Good luck, God bless, and hang in there!

bald is in. dont think a male 24 needs a wig. also exercise while you are losing weight. you are young. age is just numbers. its how you feel. we all can stand to lose weight. but your generation. i see girls your age that has is so big. i think it comes from fast foods. dont take time to eat healty. try eating fish and chicken. good luck

Most importantly, buy young, stylish clothes. Don't go to wally world and buy those grotesque ten dollar pairs of wrangler jeans and some crappy t-shirt. That's what all the creepy old daddies in their forties do. Getting stylish jeans, shoes, shirts, jackets and headwear from the mall in your case will go far, especially after you get the weight off. You need to be able to fit into the clothes.

I can tell you that starvation diets make people look older, especially women. The best approach is to go on a low-glycemic diet along with cross-training exercise including weightlifting and some aerobics on days you're not weightlifting. By low-glycemic diet I'm not talking about one of those ultra-low carb diets, just one where your protein to fat to carbohydrate ratios are good and where the carbohydrates you ingest tend to be low on what's called the "glycemic index". This is referring to carbohydrates that digest more slowly and cause less of a blood sugar spike. Within the last decade, it's been shown that insulin signalling is the largest culprit keeping people from losing weight without starving themselves.

Identify what you perceive to be cool, college-aged guys with a wardrobe that appeals to you and copy it. Girls do it all the time. <edited>
