Girlfriend's dentist broke drill in her tooth

Hi my girlfriend just saw her dentist for a root canal procedure and the titanium drill bit broke off and is now stuck inside of her tooth. She has to see a specialist tomorrow to have it removed and we're both really worried about the whole situation. Does anybody have some insight on a circumstance like this that could perhaps put us both at ease? Thanks.

Happens more than you know. See patients all the time who still have the tip of an endo file (the file they use to remove the nerve of the tooth) stuck in their tooth and it is causing no problems. It can cause problems sometimes, though. Hope they were able to remove it. If not, only time will tell.
