help please

my son has gone through a heavy opiate withdrawal i think he is losing his mind he went ct on diazapan df118 temasapan he seems to be losing his mind but thinks hes ok he thinks he is living a normal life but he isnt any advice would be welcome

Hello!

I would suggest getting him medical attention. I believe he was taking a benzo and that should not be stopped cold turkey. It is extremely dangerous!

thank u for ur reply my son is 10 weeks into the detox he was a very bad drug abuser he is now on 20 mcg valium 80 mg temasapan and 4 30 mg df 118 but he droped to this doze overnight the amount of prescription drugs he was addicted to was about 5 times the amount and i wont tell any lies they were not all precribed he has went through a lot of symptoms at the moment he thinks he sees people when there is nowone there he is at the moment very scared and confused nowone will help him at all we are stil waiting on help for him from the doctor i phoned his doctor today and was told he will have to wait another week to a month and thats him waited for 10 weeks so far with very little sleep i do know this is self inflicted but cant understand why no doctors are helping him

Doctors are suppose to help no matter what the situation. It is their duty. Find new doctors or probably psychiatrists to help your son. Find doctors that deal with drug dependency and detox. You son needs medical help.

My husband quit ct off diazapan and he ended up in a mental facility. He thought that people were after him and that I was being raped. They go into a state that is very very very scary. He actually looked like he belonged in the mental ward. But.....he tapered down and now he is completely clean off them. He feels like a kid again. So I would get him some medical attention. Hope that helped good luck
