payment center called

i called the payment center and they called me back yesterday. i told them i wanted to check the status of my backpay. he mumbled around for a minute and said there was no reason not to release and that he would by the end of the week (today) and i should get my money sometime next week. so today (FRIDAY) i called the local ssa office to check and they said the PPC had until Nov 5 to work it (meaning they had until then to release it) but it may be much sooner. does that sound promising to you. i just want it before christmas

it is horriable that you have to call to find out, but it helps to keep calling. I swear that they just sit around all day and do nothing.I got half of my back pay a few weeks ago and they said the other half would be in a weekor so, and this was 2 weeks ago.

So last friday i started all over calling everyday and anyone that answer, they called yesterday and said it will be in my acct monday or tuesday.

You just have to play hard ball

yeah, its like it doesn't even occur to them to release it until you call the standard 500 times.
