My grandson was born with a penile torsion so he was not circumcised until he was 6 months old. That was over a year ago. Everything looks fine since the circumcision, but he has a MAJOR problem with itching. The urologist and the dermatologist say there is nothing wrong. The dermatologist put him on an oral medication to control the itching that does help a little so we know this is not a "habit", but the medication doesn't fix the problem and he continues to be in misery. He is too young to tell us where exactly it itches.
Has anyone been through this? Any ideas on where else to go, or other types of doctors that may be able to help (there are only a couple of pediatric urologists in this area)? Any suggestions?
