New to forum in pain advice pls

hello,
i have had a filling done last Thursday, because a bit if the filling had come away on the Monday which was causing me a bit of pain. Ever since the filling i have been in a lot of pain i have seen my Dentist daily (excetp the weekend) who has treated me for a gum infection as the xrays from of my tooth show nothing (poss close to the nerve) the pain i have been experiancing in a desire to bite down and suck at my tooth, with intense pain and throbing. He has filed my tooth down which did help but now the feeling is back to bite down, when i put pressure on my tooth it eases. I also have a constant ache and get a feeling that my tooth needs to crack to releive pressur. Pls any help will be greatful.
Many thanks

Re: New to forum in pain advice pls

I am pretty sure it is related to the filling or possibly due to a hairline fracture of the tooth. Did he file your tooth down (gosh I hope not) or just shaved the filling down a bit? In any event that pressure feeling - like it needs to crack to release the pressure - is coming from the filling or possible an infection beneath it. Either ask him to remove it and do it again to see if that improves things or go see an endodontist.
