Question 5yr old, seizure...

My 5 year old son experienced a seizure two weeks ago. Never had any before, and hasn't had another since so far. It was a terrifying experience! We've been told he's fine, no tumors and his blood work came back great. We've just been told to just watch him and bring him back to get a referral to a specialist (neurologist?), if it happens again. Nobody has any answers as to why he had a seizure out of the blue and nobody can tell us if it will happen again. Any advice on if we should be panicking or not and what to look for? Any way to prevent this from happening again? We're very lost and clueless. And worried.

Re: 5yr old, seizure...

If he had a fever that could have been why. Some kids can have one or two and that's it. Never have another one. Hopefully that will be your case.
