CVID and H1N1 - Antivirals Anyone?

Hi, I am from Ontario, Canada. I was diagnosed with CVID in 2005 (All my 5 immunoglobulins are almost non existent). Prior to being diagnosed I had an average of 10 severe respiratory infections per year, each lasting a long time; and I had pneumonia 2 or 3 times. I started Gamunex infusions once a month. After that, the number of resp inf I got decreased substantially. They are not as severe, but they still last long.

However, I am deeply concerned with the H1N1. I thought research done suggested CVID patients should be on antivirals.

I don't understand why my doctor here is not prescribing the antiviral.

Does anyone know anything about this?

My 17 yr old son has CVID. His immunologist gave me a prescription for an antiviral called relenza, with instructions to start taking it if he is exposed to H1N1 or if he shows any symptoms. So far we haven't needed it.
