Patulend has worked for me!

Hi guys,

Just wanted to share my story about recent success with Patulend. I've been struggling with PET since I was a child and found out about Patulend via this forum. My PET has been almost relieved over the last 3 months.

Before I started using Patulend I had a problem where my right ear would crack and pop whenever I swallowed, yawned and sometimes it would pop whilst talking. Each time it pop I would suffer from authophony where my voice sounds like I have a bucket over my head.

I used to try relieve the authopony by sniffing I would feel my ear drums get sucked in and that would close my eustacian tube and stop the authophony. However this would last for maybe a minute before I swallow again and the authophony starts again.

I started using Patulend on 1-08-09.

When I initially used the drops I found that Patulend was helping to keep my tube closed longer, so when my ears pop and authophony started if I sniffed to close the tube again it would stay closed for up to maybe 20 mins which was an improvement as before I used to have to sniff every minute to keep my tube closed. Each time i sniffed I could feel my ear drum get sucked in which would help stop the autophony.

I found its best to used only 1 drop of Patulend and use it every 4-5 days.
When I used more then 2-3 drops or used it too often I found my nose would get blocked and once my eustacian tube opened up and the authphony starts it would be very difficult to close it again just by sniffing.

I continued using Patulend, by 01-10-09 I was happy because it was helping me to keep my tubes closed longer however I felt my ear drum was getting sucked in more and more each time I sniffed to close my tubes to stop the authophony. My ear was feeling uncomfortable and my hearing was starting to feel dim, it felt like I had pressure in my ear and I could feel my eardrum move whenever I burped. I noticed I would have to sniff harder to keep my tubes closed but at the same time once my tube was closed it would stay closed for a longer time.

By 14-10-09 I was struggling with my ear, my hearing was very muffled and felt dim I felt like my ear drum had been sucked in way too much and I was still getting authphony even if I sniffed.

At this stage I started to hold my nose and blow as if you need to pop your ears when they are blocked. As I blew I could feel my ear drum which was sucked in going back to a normal position and at the same time my authphony symptoms had gone!

I can now eat, swallow, drink, yawn my ears never pop, I don't get authphony and I no longer need to sniff!

I'm still using 1 drop of patulend once every 7 days because after 7 days I may get slight authophony where I can hear my own breathing faintly but soon as I take the drops the symptoms are gone and my ear behaves normally for the whole week!

It seems like the patulend has been causing the endema in my eustacian tubes to help them stay closed however I was still getting authphony symptoms because I kept sniffing to try and relief authophony which was building up pressure in my ear and causing my ear drum to get sucked in too much. Once I held my nose and blew to equalise the pressure in my eustacian tube my ear drum when back to a normal position and my hearing is normal with no authphony, pop or cracking.

Furthermore for anyone who's also suffering from titinus or a whoosing noise in there ear where they can hear there own heartbeat I have been taking a herbal medicine called "sarivadi vati" which has stopped these symptoms.

Just wanted to share my story with you guys because I know there a lots of you out there going through a similar problem and I hoping this will help you too.

Re: Patulend has worked for me!

I too have PET. I am an air hostess and not sure whether flying is making it worse. I don't get any pain when I fly, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Have you seen any ENT surgeons in the UK? I went to see someone at the Cromwell Hospital. A complete waste of time. I will try the Patulend drop you mentioned and also the Sarivadi Vati. It's just so nice to see someone from the UK on this site.

Hi there,

I saw Dr Vivek Raut from Wolverhampton he is a well known ENT surgeon unfortunatly he couldn't do anything for my PET. However since my last post my PETs been cured I no longer need patulend drops, not suffered autophony or ear popping for 2 months now its pure bliss!

Definetly give patulend a try just remember after 2-3 months of usage if you find you are still getting authophony no matter how hard you sniff then your probably at a stage when you need to blow to stop the autophony because your ears are behaving normally and the tube is now closed. I hope it works out well for u!

Re: Patulend has worked for me!

Hi Divy,
Thanks for your info. Where do I get the patulend Drops? Do they have to be prescribed by a Dr? Sorry to ask all these questions, but there is no where else to get advice.
Thanks
Jo lee
