I am happily in recovery from a year of heroin abuse. I was on suboxone for around a year after that. From time to time I would relapse on the hard stuff so I checked into an IOP to try to beat this thing once and for all. They wouldn't let me take my suboxone so I did what the doctor ordered and, with help of librium and clonodine , stopped taking it. (little rough but not too bad. was only on 2mg/day) Doc had me do the two days of a higher dose (12mg/day) and then quit completely. Well that was 11 days ago and I failed a suboxone UA twice today!! It was the stick they dip in the urine-I made them take another sample and do it right in front of me again with the same results. They are sending it to the lab but they think I am back on it. The lab they called said it only stays in your system for 72 hours! Can that be right if the half life is 24-37 hours?
I have been researching this all over the net and there really is no solid info.
Please please please help! I was just starting to feel good about my recovery and this has made my people question the integrity of it all. I swear on my mom, dad, both brother's and my dog's lives that I haven't had it in 11 days, well 12 now! (3 am) I would be crashed right now otherwise
I can talk more about my entire suboxone experience if anyone wants to hear it. It really feels good not being on it.
