I was going crazy on prozac (insomnia, major anxiety, etc) so my doc took me off immediately and gave me ativan and started me on 10 mg of lexapro and then after three days increased it to 20 mg. Since I increased it to 20 for the past week, I have severe anxiety again. what do I do? Is this from the lexapro?
I take 10mg of lexapro myself. I have problems sleeping at night. Do you take your 20mg at bedtime or of the morning? She also gave me 1mg of xanax to help me sleep. But the doctor doesn't want me to take the xanax every day. Please let me know how you're doing on the lexapro. I'm thinking about going to 20mg.
Now she wants me to go down to 10 mg to see if the lexapro is causing it. I am so fed up with these meds. They don't help. I cannot believe there is no effective treatment for anxiety.
How are you doing on the 10mg of the lexapro? Do you take yours at bedtime ? I have problems sleeping with it. Take in touch.Maybe we can incourage you another.
10mgs seems to be better. However, I feel certain that my obsessive thoughts and anxiety is more OCD without the compulsions.
Someone said that celexa worked the best for them and took their obsessive thoughts away so I am hoping to try yet another med which hopefully will help me wake up from this nightmare.
I was always told to take the lexapro in the morning because it would keep you up at night if you took it in the afternoon/evening.
