Anxiety and insomnia

I am on citalprolam right now and I hate it. My head gets hot and I can't sleep, I'm dizzy and tired throught the day. I take it in morinings and it takes 6 hrs for me even to start feelling better.

I went through this 10 yrs ago after my divorce (married for 17 years), thought I wouldn't make it.

Pysch's thinking about swiching me to Zoloft. Not sure about that. I also have a prescription for Xanax but I'm weary of taking it. I'm traditionally not a pill person.

Re: Anxiety and insomnia

Hey Ron, my girl went thru the same a little while back. The zoloft didn't give her the random fevers and insomnia but did give her the constant dizzyness and lightheadness. She too was prescribed Xanax and even at a low dose became addicted quickly. All of these medications though depend solely on the user, some react diffently. Your right to feel weary of the Xanax though, it has a very high dependancy rate. As my girls caretaker I asked her doctors if she could take the citalprolam just before bed, as it does usually take 6-8 hrs to get into the system everyday and they said it was ok for her. Worth asking anyway! She now takes topomax and it seems to do alot better for her. I wish you luck sir, and I hope everything turns out ok.
