Question for those of you who have been through IVF already. I've done three nights of stimulation shots with Follistim & Menopur - pretty high doses. My next u/s is Wednesday am. Retrieval set for next Tuesday (11/17).
When should I start feeling something in my ovaries? I'm supposed to feel full, bloated, like something is going on in there, right? Does it take a few days to kick in? I worry that I'm not feeling anything yet.
Don't worry...you may be a slow starter and if you are, your RE can up your dose or extend the days you are stimming (the retrieval day is usually only an estimate). Sometimes though, your body needs to just get used to the meds and then it catches up quick to the numbers they like to see. Also, you really don't feel terribly bloated until closer to your retrieval day...so take it easy and stay positive. I'm sure you'll see some progress at your next visit. Good luck!
