Healthy Young Male urethral discomfort

I am a healthy non-smoking, married male. For about a week or two I have been experiencing discomfort and sometimes a mild burning sensation in my urethra. It usually occurrs near the base of the penis. It has been present during urination and after ejaculation.

I have no history of stds. I had a vasectomy about a year ago after two kids.

This started around the time my wife was between her first and second period since our second child.

I have not seen the doctor yet.

From what I have been reading, I am wondering if anyone can weigh in about the possibility of a yeast infection or thrush.
