About a week, week and a half ago, I noticed there was a white spot on my gums a bit above my right canine (almost near the top of my mouth, not on the gum directly above the tooth).
It's a bit sensitive when I run my tongue over it, but that might also be because I keep doing it.
As far as I can tell, it doesn't leak anything. It isn't raised like a whitehead, it's just this spot.
I thought it might be because I wear a nightguard on the top row of my teeth, but the spot is too high on my gum to be the nightguard pinching it or something.
So I have a few questions:
1) What is it?
2) Should I be concerned about this?
3) Do I need to see a dentist or a doctor?
4) If it's nothing to worry about then what can I do to make it go away? Or will it go away on its own?
