Question Is a pharmacy website like this legitimate?

I was looking up generic Lexapro (which I found out is not yet available), and came across a site...I won't post the link... The prices are much less expensive than what I usually pay, but it doesn't require a prescription. From what the ordering instructions say, you'res supposed to list why you want the medication, and doctors that they staff will approve or deny you the medicine. It sounds very shady and I don't plan to do it, but I'm just wondering if sites like this are reliable - I don't know how it could be legal. I'd be afraid of never receiving my purchase because I hesitate to buy anything online anyway, but it's tempting. My old ins. paid half on my medicines, and my new HSA plan only gives a small discount. My Lexapro RX was $88! I can't afford this long-term. Do people actually use sites like these, or are they scams and or unreliable?

Re: Is a pharmacy website like this legitimate?

Lexapro is also known as Cipralex, I think.

I believe if you read those pharmacy websites thoroughly, you will find that you have to either join (pay for a membership, which is usually $19.95 a month) or pay for what they call a “consult fee“. I personally would stay away from the pharmacy websites where no prescription is required. I also rather doubt that these pharmacies ever turn people down on their prescription request, as they are there to make lots of money, not turn people away. Also, you’re really never sure what country they are actually based out of, regardless of what they say on their site. AND …you really have no idea where the drug is coming from, as in - is it coming from the US or some under developed third world country? And lastly there is always a danger when giving who knows who your credit card number.

Some of them are ok. I've bought numerious drugs off the internet and had good luck with most if not all of them. Most of the drugs come from India but are made to spec. and seem to be safe to me.
