I am a 62 year old female and about 2 years ago I started seeing black lines appearing in my eyes when I would wake up. They (about 5 of them) were coming down from the top center of both eyes, and they were gone in an instant. It was happening once or twice a month and lately it has become more frequent. One afternoon this past week, while fully awake, I blinked and the lines where there and stayed for about 2 seconds. I asked the doctor what they might be when I was getting new glasses last December and he couldn't give me an answer. Can anyone tell me what this might be?
