Yesterday and a few days ago while laying flat in bed, I could feel a pulsating like sensation around my stomach area and about 2 inches above my navel.
It felt like my heart or something, it was very odd, I could put my fingers on it and feel it.
Most people can feel their abdominal pulse every once in awhile.
However, if the pulse is constant, comes back frequently, grows stronger, or you have a family history of stroke, aneurysm, or you currently smoke and/or have high blood pressure - then you need to see your doctor and have them rule out abdominal aortic aneurysm. The screening test is a simple ultrasound, I had one after my father died of AAA a few years ago. The test takes 5 minutes. Caught early, AAA can be surgically corrected.
Same here my mother could feel my fathers' and he had an aortic anuesyrm . Have it checked out just for your own piece of mind. My father had one and it was caught in time. He is alive and healthy today.
