High Haemoglobin

Hi, I'm a 23 year old female and have been told I have a haemoglobin of 16.4 which is apparently too high. I last had it checked in January when it was 15.4. Can anyone help with what the reason for this could be- I'm sure I haven't been dehydrated when having the tests as my other values are normal, I don't smoke or have any lung problems and am a lifelong vegetarian so it isn't from having excess iron in my diet, and I don't take any supplements.

What level of haemoglobin would put me at a significant risk of thrombosis? I'm currently on Marvelon and not sure if I should continue this.

The reason I had the blood tests done in the first place was for neurological symptoms in my left arm and leg- tingling, feeling heavy when I walk and sometimes difficulty in lifting my shoulder up, as well as a persistent headache for a week which I've never had before. Could my haemoglobin explain any of these?

Thanks a lot for any help. Mary.
