I am a 43 year old male who had a fissurectomy and internal and external hemmroids removed on November 5th. The pain was manageable, but the itch is pretty intense at day 16. I am having normal bowel movements, but I am also experiencing a mucuosy discharge that itches! Keeping it dry down there is problematic. At my two week checkup, the doctor said I had a fungal infection and recommended Lotrimin. Does anyone have experience with this discharge? Will it eventually end? Any suggestions for dealing with the moisture and resulting infection? Thanks to all for reading and posting.
