Gastrointestinal Acid Reflux Disease (GERD), a.k.a. chronic heartburn, can present as nausea after eating, and not the typical burning sensation.

Pepcid, Zantac and Prevacid are all acid reducers.
Pepcid and Zantac are H2 blockers, they reduce symptoms quickly and continune working for some time.
Prevacid is a Proton pump inhibitor, it takes one to four days to start working but is stronger than the H2 drugs.
I have GERD w/nausea, and I normally take Pepcid Complete and keep a roll of Rolaids in my purse just in case. If my symptoms get worse though, I take a proton pump inhibitor for a few weeks till my stomach (or whatever the problem is - my acid troubles are usually due to arthritis medications) calms down. My suggestion would be to try the Pepcid, before the holidays, and see how well it works for you.
Good luck, Happy Turkey Day!
