I forgot and took my synthroid and I have a dr. appt today

I completely forgot and took my synthroid at 5:15 this morning. I have a dr. appt at 11:15. I'm sure he'll do labs since it's a new doc. If he does labs close to noon, will the synthroid affect it? I'll let him know, but most docs I've told say it never makes a difference.

I would get the lab slip from him and come back to the lab tomorrow in the AM before taking your meds and get your blood drawn then. Otherwise your thyroid results will be affected.

Synthroid has a longer half life (6-7 days). I don't think it will be a problem. Cytomel has the shorter half life and lab results need to be read with knowledge of Cytomel timing.

Thanks. He ended up switching me to Armour and will do labs in 2 weeks, so I didn't have to worry about it afterall.
