Personal Aid for the Legally Blind

I would like to see about hiring a personal aid for my husband. Is there such a place for the legally blind or any benefits like this for him?

I appreciate any help and advise.

Re: Personal Aid for the Legally Blind

Locally,we have the United Way(1st call for help)to give us any place where help
would be available. We also have the Office For Aging, and the Council of Churches,
who will get you some assistance.(some hands-on labor has minimal charges.)Our Blind Work Assn.(old name),is a great friend to the visually impaired.I enjoyed my
time, transporting the blind to shopping,dr. visits etc.It was very rewarding for me. Good luck
