bad bite after tooth was filled

Has anyone experienced a bad bite after their tooth was filled with white filling?
I mentioned this to the dentist and he said the teeth will eventually press together.
UNTRUE!!! The upper and lower teeth weren't pressing together at the time and if
it doesn't feel good in the biginning speak up. It's similar to when you buy a pair of shoes if your feet don't feel good don't buy them.
He used the tiny grey papers to rub teeth together to
see if bite was on. No marks so he decided he was done. Even though
I told him it doesn't feel right.
Someone needs to be reported to the dental society...

This has happened to me after every filling until I got 'used' to the new feeling. (I just had 3 done last week, yesterday was the first day biting felt normal again)

Ohhh wait about 15yrs ago I did have a dentist tell me to get use to it...are you kidding me after the numbness wore off at home I felt like my teeth were like 'high centered' my gosh. I went back and made him fix it. You can't just live with it when your teeth aren't hitting just right... it was like a jack hammer coming down from the top! He kept telling me on the phone it was fine...fine? are you nuts!...fix it. The work he did in my mouth fell apart within a couple of years. He was the worst dentist I have ever been too.
