Missing Period?

I started about a year ago, but for the past few months i have not had my period. I think it might be because of my weight loss, but the thing is i have no idea how much i weigh! I have weighed myself and i think im ninty, but another scale had another weight and i have no idea anymore how much i weight! I eat normaly, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Sometimes i eat quite alot actually. My whole family has a very high metabolism and that is why we dont gain weight very easily. IS this something i should worry about?

Re: Missing Period?

Hi,

Yes it is very possible that periods can stop if you are at a low weight, have sudden extreme weight lose or exercise a lot.

So it probably is because you are too low in weight. I would sugguest a visit to the doctors to make sure this is the case, if it is then you do need to put on some weight. You will have to increase your daily intake of calories or else you could be doing very serious damage to your body.

Sometimes, especially if your periods are still fairly new you can experience a missed period or two while your body adjusts, but go to the doctors and get it checked out.

Good Luck
