"I need to raise my BP! but.. how?"]
Hi Hon, I have had low blood pressure all my life and am now 53. I was small at your age, too, 5'2 and 92#, with BP actually lower than yours. At your age, my heart rate was aroud 120, give or take, but now varies from 80 to 110. My BP today was 92/60.
I can empathize with your feeling sluggish, I've fought that periodically myself and have come to realize that I must eat the food groups (lean red meat, leafy dark green veggies rather than celery, etc) and leave out the junk food (okay, I lay off store bought but I do eat homemade cakes, cookies, etc), get proper rest (that is the hardest for me) and get proper exercise. Here is the kicker, a few days at the gym is not what helps me, it is getting outside and working in the garden, briskly walking the dog, cleaning house, things that aren't terribly strenuous but keep the blood circulating well. Sitting in a classroom or at a computer just makes me more sluggish. And I realize that we all have our crosses to bear and in this instance, mine is not heavy at all. Don't stress, just be thankful, there are a lot worse conditions to have.
You are a wise young lady to seek advice!!! Good luck in finding what works for you, and good health!
