Question Birth Control Pill

I have been on the pill 5 months now.
I take it everyday at the same time like Im suposed to.
Me and my man have sex about 7 times a week on average.
A friend of mine told me that even though his girl was taking the pill correctly she got pregnant.
Is this something I should worry about? I told my boyfriend and he got freaked and started pulling out because of how often we have sex.
Please help! Can I still get pregnant when Im on the pill?

I have always been told that no form of birth control (except abstinence of course) is 100% effective. If you are on the pill and your boyfriend is ejaculating inside of you then there is a chance of becoming pregnant. There is still a chance of becoming pregnant even if he does pull out first because some semen does escape during intercourse. I would suggest that if you dont want to become pregnant then you should use condoms as well as birth control pills.

Hey, anything is possible. But is it likely? Hardly.

The pill works two ways, first by preventing ovulation, and if it still does occur, it makes the uterus more inhospitable for implantation to take place. Chances are very very slim that if you are taking them correctly, that you will get pregnant. It is still the most effective form of birth control. Way more effective than withdrawl.

But if you are really really worried about it, maybe you can ask your dr to put you on a stronger pill.

Thank you, both of you!
I dont understand why they would give out the pill as a method of birth control if you have to use another method as well. I mean isnt that pointless. I hear so many things that differ. People say its very possable, some say its not likly at all, whats the deal, is it or not lol.
I know theres a slight chance but i really want to believe it is a very small chance.
Me and my boyfriend used condoms for 2 1/2 years and Im just sick of them, I got on the pill to not deal with that anymore, I just sure hope it is working.

I was on a copper IUD for 2 years - I was promised a pregnant free live for 10 years. I ended up being the 1% of users who got pregnant with an ectopic pregancy...nothing out there is 100% effective on everyone - EXCEPT abstinence. If you get pregnant while using the pill and taking it faithfully - it's divine intervention in my view.
