Question How can I find a TMJ specialist?......

I have not been able to find one in my state, and I'm nervous that I will have to travel a great distance. Does anyone know who to contact or how to find one? Somehow I am not surprised that my state doesn't have a specialist, but this is stressing me out. I want someone who understands this to work on me, and hopefully help!

Thanks everyone, you are all such a great support group!

Look up the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain on the internet. They have a referral page by state on their home page.

Also try the website for Dr. Stack. If you see the same name on both sites, you have probably found a decent specialist. I trust the AACP website as well as Dr. Stack's because my specialist is listed on both.

I'm in Maine, I don't think I have mentioned that I don't even know how to fix my profile!
