Question fioricet

Can I get some info about this drug by someone who has had experience or knows regardless?
I might have spelled it wrong, but i think it contains 325mg of acetominophen, caffiene and something else?
is it addictive?
what is it used for?
is it available over the counter?
does someone achieve a high off it and what is that high comparable to -marijuana or codiene(i know how that feels)or alcohol or anything else?????

i am a recovering tyleno#3 addict 1 1/2 yrs clean - could never get my hands on anything stronger or i probably would have - and i think my girlfriend is addicted to this.
either that or she is just taking a lot of it and i don't want to jump to conclusions. she usually blows my answers off w/ 'it's that time of the month' or ' i have cramps' when i ask, which i don't do much.

ANY AND ALL INFO WOULD BE A GREAT HELP!
i'm also new to this board, so hello everyone.

Question

The drugs brand name is FIORICET and contains something called Butalbital along with acetominaphen and caffeine.
I am pretty sure the drug is for pain.
That is all I know about the Drug. I appreciate the responses, but I was hoping for some help with the questions I asked in my first post.

Has anyone had experience or know about this drug and can answer some or all of my few questions in this thread's first post?

ANY info woud help - I am a newbie and am not familiar with drug slang or abbreviations, so please be as clear as possible. ANYONE? PLEASE?

Re: Fiorocet

is it addictive?

yes!

what is it used for?

pain, I know of someone who was taking it for severe migraines; but people take addictive drugs for various reasons; other than pain

is it available over the counter?

no

does someone achieve a high off it and what is that high comparable to -marijuana or codiene(i know how that feels)or alcohol or anything else?????

I've never taken it. The only reason I'm responding is because I know a woman from another board whose drug of choice was fiorocet, both the narcotic and the other ingredient in it (bulbatal sp?) are addictive, so it's a double whammy. It has a calming, narcotic-like effect, but everyone has their own subjective experiences as to what it feels like - I have no idea other than it's addictive and hard to get off of, just like any other narcotic.

I took fioricet's sister fiorinal for migraines years ago. i never got much of a buzz, just kind of jittery from the caffiene. I tried it again recently when I couldn't get my DOC (vicoprohen) and it was like taking baby asprin so i think is has lower (or different) dosages than the "big boy" in the vic family. hope this helps.
