broken_tibia (interesting name???)

Basically you eat mostly:

PROTEIN = meat, fowl, fish, eggs and limited amts of cheese (I think 3 oz. or something?)

CARBS = limit to 20 grams and only 3 cups salad vegetables each day and

FATS = like some butter, olive oils, fish oils, mayonnaise (don't go overboard), sour cream (some) basically any that aren't unhealthy. Don't go crazy with fats, just eat normal amounts.

I eat until I'm full (which at first is a lot, but your appetite will decrease quickly)

DO THIS FOR 2 WEEKS which is called Induction. You will lose a lot the first 2 weeks. Then add 5 grams carbs/day the 3rd week, then 5 more the 4th week and so on until you stop losing weight. Then back off on the carbs a little until you lose slowly.

ALSO take multi-vitamins and supplements during Induction or you'll feel like CRUD! This is required in the BOOK.

I WOULD RECOMMEND BUYING THE BOOK... There's too much information to write it all here, but this is the basic gist of it.

I hope this helps, write if you have more questions and I'll try to answer them.

I have lost 17 lbs total so far. I stopped then started again last Thurs. and lost 8 lbs since 12 days ago. I really like this diet because I have very few cravings and am rarely hungry. Good luck!

I'm not quite sure I understand the point of adding carbs after the induction period. What's the point of adding carbs if you are losing weight? Is it because you will lose too much? Can you explain the process after induction in more detail? Also, 5 extra carbs a day isn't much. What exactly can you eat to add those few extra carbs without going over? BTW, I started today and it's not bad at all. I'm a big soda drinker so I switched to diet which has no carbs or calories.
