Question Evra patch or Nuvaring opinions

Anyone tried either of these new BC products?
I'm thinking about trying one or the other, but I had such problems on the pill (years ago) that I'm not sure I want to do hormones again.

Please list pros, cons, and side effects if any.

I'm looking for a new form of birth control as well and would love to hear more about both. I use the delfen contraceptive foam now but would like to use something more "permnanent" that I don't have to mess with right before sex.

Thanks, sorry to post under your topic without an answer.

Thumbs up

I use the patch and I love it. I have tried several pills and I had problems with all of them. I was told that you're less likely to have side effects with the patch because it's a continuous stream of medication, unlike pills. I haven't had any side effects or any problems with the patch. I highly recommend it.

Thanks gobbleduck.
Any problems with skin irritation? Is it a pain to remove?

I'm 40 so my hormones are just starting to go haywire. I'm thinking that the patch might stabilize things a bit.

They had a sample of the patch, (non-medicated) in a woman's magazine. It was the color of your skin almost and very thin.

I go to the dr tomorrow, I will ask about this for me.
