Post Head sensation

I have been having cold sensations in one part of my brain that lasts about a couple of seconds. Also, there are little tingling feelings that I get on the top of my brain. The past couple of months I have been feeling great pressure on my sinus and head area. The doctors say that the pressure is due to allergies, but they don't know what is causing the cold and tingling sensations. I don't have a sinus infection and the senastions don't hurt, but they leave me worried. Has anyone experienced this? Do I have some sort of brain infection?

I have had similiar feelings of a cold or numb feeling(it was always difficult to discribe). I suffer from headaches and sinus but i was told to go to a neurologist, but i have not. Let me know what those feelings are. Some times I can actually feel my brain.

That is exactly what I feel, pressure, numbing, cold chills and dizziness. I explained everything to my doctor and he thought it was a sinus infection, but the xray showed negative. He just said that it was due to allergies and he gave me allegra and flonase. I will try these out for a couple of weeks and if things don't get better, then it might be something serious. If you get to see the neurologist, let me know what happens. Thanks!

I just read your posting. Has your doctor mentioned myofascial headaches to you? Myofascial tissue surrounds the head and brain and can cause an intense pressure in the head if you are experience a myofascial headaches. I know this because I suffered for over 1 year with them before I finally got someone to diagnose what it was. My doctor put me on some muscle relaxants at bedtime (because they make me sleepy) and the myofascial headaches went away within a few days. It was amazing especially after suffering for one year with doctor after doctor misdiagnosing me. I suggest you go back to your doctor and mention myofascial headaches and see what he says. You can research them on the net too. Do you grind your teeth or clench your teeth at night? TMJ may cause them too - have you ever been diagnosed with TMJ? Well, good luck, hope you get some relief soon.
