Yes, I have a bad PMS symtoms 1 week before my period, very anxious, irritable, insomnia, tired and also after my period I feel so exhausted and anxious, so I take iron pills, to supplement the blood I lost. Maybe you are anemic, get a blood test to find out, I had a blood test done, they said my blood count is normal but after my period I feel tired and anxious....

i was once anemic many years ago.

perhaps that's it.
but i think it must be more.

i think after i turned 30 it started.

almost as if as soon as it is over, i get headaches and cranky.

like the last days.

i agree about loss of blood and such how that can cause fatigue.

but not tension?

maybe weakness.

I also get very cranky and have severe headaches (migranes especially)like right in the middle of my cycle. My doctor diagnosed this as a hormone imbalance and we are currently working on finding a birth control prescription that takes care of the imbalance. Perhaps you also have some sort of hormone imbalance? It's worth checking into.

dear squirk,i wouldnt doubt that the least !
in fact, quite possible!
i get a headache almost like clockwork, the very last day.
at least the last day.
maybe a day or two after.
the agitation and stress i feel almost "peels" away.
then i'm fine again for another, say, 2 weeks?
i like the idea about birth control pills; however, the last time i did that i got very anxious.
are there pills which do not cause anxiety and blood pressure to rise?
