chigger bite turned to rash!!!!! (Yikes)

Okay, I have a chigger bite right below my bekini line (of all places) I scratched it because I HATE to itch! and now it has developed a rash!I am allergic to neosporin, hydrcortisone cream, and calamine lotion. Any suggestions as to what I can go for it? I try to put a cold compress on it to dry it out, what else can I do??? I take clarinex also for allergies!

Have you tried Tea Tree Oil, available at the health food store? It should take out the itch and it's anti bacterial.

Be sure you were bitten by a chigger mite and not a tick. A rash is one of the first symptoms of Lyme disease.

I know all about chigger bites. I get tons of them. What you want to do is put clear nail polish on the area and let it dry. Reapply it a few times a day and it will suffocate the chigger and cut down alot on the itchiness.
