New AD patient

I was recently diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease. I would like to know what the average time for each stage of the disease is?

There Is a forum further down on the main page just for Alzheimer's.I too was diagnosed with AD 5 years ago.Each person Is different at the different stages.There Is not set length of time for each stage.....How old are you? I was 58 when diagnosed,I am 63 now,still hanging In there.Are you on Aricept? I was for 4 years,but now am on Reminyl,as the Aricept wasn't working like it did.........

I am 55 at this time. My grandmother died with it at age 82. I am not sure but what I have had it for a while now (several years) as I began having forgetfulness in a mild form about 5 years ago. :confused This is why I wanted to know how long each stage was approximately. Thank you for your responce.
