You are so lucky to have someone like that in your life! I lived with both of my parents until I was 16 and never had a close relationship with either of them.

I believe when someone dies they go to heaven and all of their family who went before them is waiting to greet them. It is strange, but now when someone I know passes away I can't help but smile. I still miss them but I know that they are happy and not alone.

Please don't give up if the worst should happen. Your grandmother would not want your life to be over. It sounds like she raised you well and would want you to make something of yourself whether she is there or not! Too often people use tragedy as an excuse for failure, but every once in awhile they use it to succeed in life. I hope you are the latter.

Your grandmother is in my prayers. I hope everything turns out to be alright.

I agree with Camden about everything, especially the fact that your Grandma would want you to take good care of yourself.....

She obviously must adore YOU since her love and respect and caring of you made you into such a terrific person, filled with so much love, devotion and compassion. She must be proud of you.

I know this must feel like the end of the world, but there is still hope that she will recover, so try not to get too panicked yet.

One of her greatest concerns, all your life I'm sure, is if you would be okay if something happened to her.

If the worst happens, your greatest gift to her would be to continue your life well... and yes, miss her and grieve for her.. but not so much that it paralyzes you and prevents you from becoming happy, productive and loving.

That's what she would want for you.

Still, we are jumping the gun here....I do hope the new treatments kick in and all will be well again.

Just take it day by day.

Let us know what happens. Do you have any friends to talk to? Are you still in school? Maybe the school counsellor would be a good person to talk to as well. You shouldn't have to do this all alone.

Of course you have us here on these boards, so come back and let us know what's going on when you can.
