Post Unknown Pain

Hello Everyone
I have been having this unknown pain for about two months or so now. I do have IBS/spastic colon. But this pain is different from all the rest.
The pain that I have been experiencing has been on my left side and under my rib and I can't even lay on my left side or I will hurt so bad and I can't hardly move or turn over. During the day I am ok. The only problem during the day is that I can't twist my body to the left or it hurts soo bad.
and my right side under my rib has been hurting as well, but the pain is different. It feels like someone stabbing me off and on. I have had blood work and a cat scan done so far. Everything so far has come up normal. Can someone please help me with some kind of an answer maybe to at least check into that it could possibly be, because my doctor is boggled.
Please Help!

Thank You

I don't have a clue what could be wrong - but I can
relate. Last year I had terrible pain in the center
of my stomach that would radiate to the right -
I would be nauseated and sometimes throw up - went
to the Doctor several times, went for a gallbladder
test and it came back negative - this happened on
a regular basis, like once every two or three months.
It has gone away and I haven't had one in 9 months.
Still I hate to have no answers, the pain was very
real to me.

You need to see the doc and get this checked out. Any pain that lingers on like that should get checked out.

I have been seeing a doc for this, but there has been no answers to the problem yet I have already had my gall bladder removed and I already had a full hysterectomy as well. I go for a sonogram this week. I am hoping they find out what is causing me to hurt so bad when I lay on my left side. And the stabbing pain under my right rib soon. I am just so tired of being in pain to where I can't hardly move or turn over, and if I lay on my left side to long it gets real bad

Have you been able to talk to anyone in an orthopedic center? You might try the bone forum. Could be an inflammed cartilage in one of your ribs. You might do some web searches and see what you come up with - see if it fits. A coworker needed to get a steroid injection due to inflammed cartilage on her rib.
