Smile seasonal allergy relief

I have seasonal allergies. I have taken grape seed extract for almost a year. I started taking it for it's antioxidant properties, but found that I have not had allergy symptoms since I have been on it. In doing some further reading on grape seed, I found that one of it's major benefits is allergy relief. Has anybody out there tried this suppliment for allergies?

Ginli,
First make sure you bought a grapeseed extract that has at least 90% polyphenols in it. I would think it's effectiveness in helping your allergy symptoms would depend on how severe your allergies are. I have spring and fall allergies...to grass and many plants that bloom, etc. I take a minimal of 60mg of standardized grapeseed extract a day. I have read that 120mg is a good dose for the average size person with moderate seasonal allergies. Look up "grapeseed" on the internet. There are a few good sites with some info that will tell you of it's many benifits.

I've been taking the OPC-3 for about 4-5 months now and have had tremendous allergy relief. I'd been having some pretty severe respiratory distress and congestion when I began taking it. Within a week ALL the symptoms were gone. We've also had success in alleviating sinuses, headaches, colds, etc. I've never taken anything like it.

Good Luck!

Interesting thread, I thank you all for the information. My SIL just sent me some products, one of which contains 300mg grapeseed extract in the hopes of helping me with problems I've had since 12/12 when I woke up with total body hives from ??? we do not know what I reacted to. Appreciate the info!
