Neocate Formula

Has anyone used Neocate where it was unsuccessful in helping their child? If so, what worked for your child? My 11 month old daughter has had blood/mucus in her stool for the past 9 months along with diarrhea most of the time. She has been on Neocate for 4 weeks and so far it is not helping at all. A flexsigmoidoscopy revealed allergic colitis. Any information would be appreciated

I never tried neocate. I have tried many other over the counter formulas. Did you try the allumentum ( it's hypoallergenic ). There are a few other formulas that are made predigested so that they are easy to digest. in my case my son was allergic to many things and milk and soy were a problem. We put our son on rice milk. He is also on super nu thera vitamins. He is not lacking in the calcium, at all. You may want to consider the rice milk since she is almost 1 year. You could always ask your doctor for a good strong prescription vitamin, or if your interested I can give you the info for the vitamins we get. My son has autism spectrum disorder, but he is doing better and better each day. The vitamins are great. besides if you are concerned about calcium, she can get it through other foods or simply through a vitamin supplement. I wish you the best
