Unhappy Chest Congestion

Does anyone suffer from Chest Congestion due to Allergies? (I think it is from my allergies) If so, what have you tried to help reduce it? I feel like all my post nasal drip is draining into my lungs and is just sitting there. Could this cause an infection I wonder? Let me know if anyone experiences this.
thanks,
Kerry

I have two beautiful English Springer Spaniels, I have been allergic to dogs all my life. At night I get bad chest congestion, I feel as if someone is smothering me with a pillow. My doctor has given me inhalors to prevent this. They help alot.
