Post trouble after deviated septum surgery?

Has anyone out there had surgery for a deviated septum and experienced problems with post nasal drip afterwards? I feel like my PND drains only down my throat now. I never have to blow my nose. I am constantly clearing my throat and I wonder if this is why.
Thanks in advance

I had this surgery in '87 after contact with a 2x4, a wall, and a hockey accident, when I was younger. I had the draining happen for about 6 months, until the swelling inside my nose went totally down, and the feeling came back on the outside.
Except for excess phlem buildup all the time, I have no other ill effects now. It is still tender on the tip...and occasionally will bleed during allergy season.
