Question tonsilectomy question?

I am 21. I have asthma and take advair, singulair, allegra-d, and sometimes prednizone or the medrol dose pac. I have to get my tonsild removed in Jan. or Feb. My question is: do you think I will have to stay overnight in the hospital? Also, if I have trouble with asthma when this happens, will it be hard to get the meds. without a lot of pain? When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I woke up and had an anxiety attack, which flared the asthma up...... that was a local anth.

I am having a tonsilectomy on Nov 6 but do not have the other health problems you do. I have no idea what the answers are for your questions. Have you talked to your doctor about your concerns? Sometimes a nurse hotline can be very helpful - Do you have one thru your insurance plan? I hope everything goes well for you and that you do not have any complications. If you had an attack after having your wisdom teeth removed which triggered your asthma - I would definitely talk to your doctor about keeping you overnite to be on the safe side.
