Talking A poll: Wjat helps you with your sinuses??

Hi guys,
I'm still trying to find something that will help me out with my sinuses. I've found alot of things from reading your posts. I'm going to ask my Allergist about nasal irrigation next.

Okay, so what helps you with your sinuses??????

In my other post I mentioned grape seed extract and nettles but I have also used a nettie pot to irrigate my sinuses, unpleasant but very effective.Increase the humidity in your home, hunt down any mold or mildew, buy a good air cleaner and good luck.

I've found that Flonase helps with sinus congestion to a certain extent; it doesn't make it go away but it brings some relief. The neti pot is messy, and I couldn't get used to it. I do use saline spray which keeps the nasal area moist.

Good luck.

Irrigation, irrigation, irrigation!! However it's done, as long as it is done. Zyrtec takes care of my allergies.

I have had a sinus infection for about 23 years--no kidding. About the only thing they haven't tried is IV antiboitics in the hospital or surgery--both because I do not have insurance! Sometimes, like now, the infection runs my body down so bad that I can scarcely get anything done at all. It keeps me awake at night with post-nasal drip causing a sore throat and choking. My doc keeps telling me that it will never go away till I get on a gluten free diet (I have celiac sprue)--which is another thing I can not afford!! I am getting ready for another course of Zithromax to knock it down some. Flonase etc, do not seem to help me. Garlic helps some.
