anyone using theo-24

The doctor has started me on theo-24 along with combivent, singular, and advair.

I had a bad bout of pneumonia. So he is trying to keep my asthma under control.

Has anyone or is anyone using theo-24. What are the side effects. It or the other meds do seem to have my asthma under control.

I'm not on theophylline now, but I've used it before. There are several different side effects for theophylline, which is chemically related to caffiene. I would do a search on your search engine. My experience with it was horrible. My levels were close to toxic with it, no asthma relief, vomited so much that I lost weight and had the shakes so bad I could rip a paper if I held it just right. Horrible medication for me. Hopefully you don't have these problems.

theophylinne

I had an awful response as well. I was only on a half-dose per day and still got bad shakes, moody and nauseous. See you how you go, and if you get these effects see the doc.

I have no side effects at all; however, I also don't know if it's working. Your blood serum must be checked regularly, so remind your doctor. I wonder if this med is at all responsible for my recent diagnosis of polycythemia.

Hi
Theophyllin has been a life saver for me. Don't know what i'd do without it. I did have lots of side effects to start with but they have worn off and weren't much worse than with ventolin. Be careful of your pottassium levels though, and if you feel sick when you've taken it try taking the next dose after food, that helps me. Teophyllin is used to treat asthma by opening up the airways and relieving bronchospasm. The one i take is a 12 hour release capsule, it works in the same way as seretide.
If you have side effects with it you should see your doctor again,.
Good luck and breathe easy
