Unhappy Mycobacterium Avium Complex(MAC)

Posted first in the wrong forum. Hopefully this is the correct one. I was diagnosed with mycobacterium avium complex(MAC) recently. It is being treated with 3 - 400 mg of Ethambutol and 2 - 500 mg Biaxin daily indefinitely. It is prevalent in AIDS patients but I do not have AIDS. Anyone else out there been diagnosed with this problem and if so how is it being treated?
