Sensitve toothpaste

I was wondering Why on the sensitive toothpaste it says use for a certain amt of time? I have used sensitive toothpaste for a long time and for the past week I stopped and I can tell a difference in my teeth. Thanks for any advise

I use sensitive toothpaste too and my husband is a dentist. It says not to use over a long period of time because if you have something more there than just sensitivity, then you need to be looked at. It can mask a more serious problem. If you got the ok from your dentist that it is just sensitivity, then you can use it indefinitely. I have been using it for over 7 years! HTH!
