Question I feel horrible! Can someone help

Here's my symptoms and maybe someone can help me on what I've got. Well I've been sick for about a month. I cough really loudly and it gets hard to breath once I start because my body doesn't give me enough of a chance to breathe. Also when I do things that take a lot of strain I wheeze and not just regularly..when I exhale the air just keeps goin out and I have problems gettin air back in. Also my nose is very stuffed and I am forever having to well blow my nose. Also sometimes when I cough my back cramps up. I get weird things where I just feel fine and then I feel really sick sometimes. Also I'm fine as long as I stay inside but the second I step a foot outside I'm back to sick..it gets really bad at school. I have problems staying awake and sleep is hard because I switch from really hot to really cold and I cough a lot at night. I also can't taste or smell even when I can breathe out of my nose. Well there's my symptoms..I can't remember if there's been anymore but that's all that's comin to mind at the moment. Does anyone have a clue of what I might have?..oh wait I thought of another one. I get really bad headaches right between my eyes and my mucus is yellowish green. The headaches normally come when I cough...please help!

Re: I feel horrible! Can someone help

Were you vaccinated for pertussis (whooping cough) as a baby? It's really rare these days because of vaccinations, but it does appear in people who weren't vaccinated.

My father and I both had whooping cough about 10 years ago (neither of us were vaxed), and your symptoms sound very much like it.

But you might just have bronchitis or something, so you should see your doctor in any case.

I agree with Timber that you may have bronchitis, but I think it could well be bronchial asthma.(Certainly sounds like Asthma).
You will need to get it seen to as you may need an antibiotic as well as some medication to help you breathe better. Maybe a Ventolin puffer or similar. A dr can do a test to see what your "airflow" is and treat you accordingly. It actually sounds like you are quite sick and should not delay in visiting the dr. It's no wonder you are tired.

Re: I feel horrible! Can someone help

Thanks you guys..I have an appointment set for Friday and I'll update and tell ya what I have so that you'll know if you were either right or really close. Thanks and I'm not sure if I was ever vaccinated of not for whooping cough but I'll ask my parents. Thanks again and I'll look up the things that you've suggested it might be..maybe that'll help.
