Re: Tooth Pulled!!

[SIZE=7][COLOR=Black]You aren't crazy. Please tell the dentist of your reaction. This could indicate that you are allergic to the meds that were used. I had a reaction to the lidocaine they were using on me during a procedure. My heart began to race to the point where I thought I was going to pass out. The dentist noticed I wasn't doing too well and stopped doing the root canal until he was comfortable everything was okay. There are other drugs they can give you and by no means, have a tooth pulled without anestetic. You have no idea what pain is until they try that on you! I had a quack dentist one time try to pull a tooth that wasn't completely deadened and believe me - it's not something I want repeated on me! I ended up having to go to an oral surgeon to have it removed. And just for the record - IF a dentist/oral surgeon thinks you are crazy for mentioning your reaction - LEAVE HIS OFFICE - and find another one who will take your reaction seriously. Allergic reactions aren't anything you want to mess around with. Take Care and I hope all goes well for you. Scarlett
