Newby to braces.

I'm 33 and just got braces for the first time about one month ago.
I'm having an impossible time flossing my back teeth which are banded. I can't even get the floss in or when I do, it just gets torn to shreds.
Anyone have any tips or tricks?

Hi,
I don't really know any "tricks" for your problem..
But I'm 20 and have braces..I just wanted to suggest the
waterpik to you..I love mine!! I floss like once a week
and use the waterpik the rest of the time..and its
been working great..actually I think it does better than
floss..

I must agree, get a Waterpik! Excellent for braces. That's what I used when I had mine. I feel I should mention this though - be careful of the highest setting on those things. If you're not used to it, it really hurts ! LOL!
